Shocked I am....

Yeah, I know; who saw this coming, eh? It turns out that Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © and his merry band of miscreants have been lying to us for the past seven-plus years. Really. Yeah, I was surprised, too. They seemed like such a likable, impish lot when they rode into Washington in January, 2001. I mean, isn’t this (sorry excuse for a) President the same one who came to power promising to be “a uniter and not a divider”? Wasn’t this the same President who promised to “restore honor and dignity to the White House”? Uh…right. So how’s all of that working out for you these days? I don’t know about you, but I’m not digging this. Not at all.

WASHINGTON - A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study concluded that the statements “were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.”

The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism.

Yeah…integrity. Remember when that was supposed to be a hallmark of this Administration? No more getting blowjobs from interns or screwing around with the White House travel office. No, things were going to be DIFFERENT, by God. Right….apparently, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

At this point, it hardly takes a Ph. D. to figure out that the way to be certain that The Worst President EVER © is lying is to watch his mouth. If it’s moving, you can rest assured that he’s lying. Period. It doesn’t get much simpler than that, eh? To say that the man has lost all credibility would be something of an understatement. Then again, I’m not certain it’s possible to lose something you never possessed to begin with. This is a man of whom the late Molly Ivins once said was born with a silver foot in his mouth. Indeed; he’s spent the past seven years demonstrating how prescient Ivins was.

The thing that I find most damning about this report is that is appears that Commander Codpiece’s © legacy will begin and end with the fact that he “led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses”. So much for “restoring honor and dignity to the White House”. What a hypocritical, self-righteous war criminal.

Four thousand young Americans have come home in flag-draped boxes because of these “decidedly false pretenses”. Yet what do we hear from Congress and the Mainstream Media. Wait for it…. Yep, that’s it; the roar of…well, nothing. It would seem that being a Republican really does mean never having to say you’re sorry…or worry about being called to account for your criminal dishonesty and absence of integrity. If we were talking about a Democratic President, that Chief Executive would have long since been impeached, convicted, and removed from office. And they would have deserved it. So, I have only one question:

NOW CAN WE IMPEACH THE LYING BASTARD?
