Bolton: ‚Äö√Ñ√≤The Mullahs In Tehran’ Want A Democrat To Win The Presidency In 2008
But I think in part what the mullahs in Tehran are thinking about, looking at the odds of who might win, or at least what the conventional wisdom is about the Democratic nominee winning. I think they’re going try and string this thing out in hopes that they’ll find some more pliable administration in the White House.
- John Bolton
Wow…if this is the level of political discourse that we can expect from the Right for the next nine months, putting a Democrat back into the White House might turn out to be far easier than we might have suspected. My God; is there a more ignorant, irrelevant, self-absorbed bloviator out there on the far Right than John Bolton (with the exception of Bill O’Reilly, Pat Robertson, Michael Savage, etc….ad infinitum, ad nauseum)? If he’s not spewing his patented nonsense and baseless fear-mongering, he’s opining as to how The Lord of Darkness’ © imperial (vice) Presidency is a good thing.
The sad part is that the Far Right LOVES The Almighty Moustache…albeit for reasons I can’t begin to fathom. Perhaps being a mean-spirited, intolerant True Believer unwilling to think outside the box is a good thing in the eyes of the Rabid Right. Yeah, you begin thinking and before you know it you’re considering all sorts of heresies- tolerance, flexibility, inclusiveness. DAMN THE APOSTASY!!
I watched Jon Stewart interview The Alimghty Moustache on The Daily Show a few weeks ago, and I was struck by what a pompous demagogue Bolton truly is. And this is the man Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © wanted as US Ambassador to the United Nations? A man for whom diplomacy is the moral equivalent of blood sport? There doesn’t appear to be a diplomatic bone in Bolton’s body. Then again, if you’re looking to rule the world, Bolton’s “(&^% you, we’re in charge here” attitude is likely exactly what you want.
Over the past seven years, the US had (justifiably) gained a reputation for steamroller diplomacy. Other, “lesser” governments feel as if American policy no longer takes their interests into account…and they’re right. Nothing personifies this attitude more than The Worst President EVER’s © attempt to install John Bolton as the chief American representative at the UN.
If you wonder why it’s going to take the next (Democratic) President every bit of their (first) term to clean up the mess left by this sorry excuse for a human being President, you really need look no further than John Bolton. Though he may be a lightning rod, Bolton is hard alone in his dismissive attitude towards anyone and any country who doesn’t share his Amerika uber Alles mindset. When you’ve spent seven years essentially telling the rest of the world to go (&^% themselves, you just can’t clean that sort of mess up over night.
Personally, I wouldn’t allow John Bolton to manage a Dairy Queen, much less hold a position in which he functions as a representative of this nation to the rest of the world. Even though Bolton never did get his confirmation as Ambassador to the UN, it wasn’t from lack of effort on the Bush Administration’s part.
(&^% off, y’all…we’re in charge here…and we don’t really much care what any of y’all think….
