No, it's not pronounced "Lie-berman"...but it probably should be

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Sen. Joseph LIEberman (I-CT)

In his New York Times column today, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol claimed that Sen. Barack Obama's (D-IL) now-infamous "bitter" remarks sound like Karl Marx's "famous statement about religion." On the Brian and the Judge radio show today, Fox News' senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano asked Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) if Obama is "a Marxist as Bill Kristol says might be the case?".... "I must say that's a good question," replied Lieberman, before stepping back to say that he would "hesitate to say he's a Marxist":

LIEBERMAN-large.jpgMan, it certainly didn't take long for this crap to start, did it? I have to admit, though, that I at least thought the full-on character assassination campaign wouldn't start until the Democratic nomination was nailed down.

Barack Obama is as much a Marxist as Joe LIEberman is an intellectually honest Democrat. Unfortunately, Sen. Obama provided these cretins with ammunition...or at least a few words whose substance and meaning can be distorted and twisted for maximum propaganda value. LIEberman knows damn well that Barack Obama isn't a Marxist...and yet he seemingly has no problem with engaging in some particularly offensive innuendo and character assassination. No, LIEberman's not stupid enough to actually come out and accuse Sen. Obama of being a Marxist, but through the power of innuendo, smear & fear, and a non-denial denial, the message is sent just the same. Unfortunately, there are large numbers sheeple out there who possess the intellectual agility and candlepower of a box of hair, and they are the ones who will accept LIEberman's words as Gospel ("Well, if it ain't true, why would he say it??").

Hopefully, when Democrats are able to increase their majority in the Senate on Election Day, they can finally tell LIEberman where he can stick his amoral, egotistical character assassination. And if there's any justice in this world, there will be a very special place in Hell waiting for him.
