So, what am I thankful for on this beautiful Sunday morning? Well, that's an easy one. I'm grateful for a friend willing to give me a second chance even though I managed to do something incredibly stupid, embarrassing, and yes, hurtful. No, I'm not about to go into detail, because it really was that incredibly stupid and embarrassing. Suffice it to say if I was lending a shoulder to someone who'd done what I have, I'd be kicking their @$$ (WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING??) from here to Friday.
Despite my world-class ignorance and lack of sensitivity, I've been granted a second chance...which is probably a helluva lot more than I frankly deserve. When I opened my dictionary this morning to check the definition of "friend", this was what I saw: A person willing to forgive for a person even though the aforementioned has been a completely thoughtless and insensitive dickweed. Also, a person willing to give said dickweed a thoroughly underserved second chance.
Man, for a person fortunate to be blessed with an IQ exceeding that of most humans, I can be totally (&^%$#@ stupid sometimes....
