I can't believe I once voted for this (&^%$#@ moron

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Sen. Joseph Liebermann (I-CT)

Once upon a time (2000, if memory serves), in a land far, far away (Texas, in this instance), I cast a vote for Sen. Joe Lieberman. OK, so it wasn't actually a vote FOR Lieberman; it was a vote for Al Gore, and Lieberman just happened to be along for the ride as the Democratic VP candidate. Frankly, even then I wouldn't have pissed on Lieberman had he been on fire, but can you believe that this self-serving maroon was THIS CLOSE to being a heartbeat away from the Presidency? Ugh....

Fast forward to 2008, and Lieberman has revealed himself to be the worst sort of poltical turncoat...a careerist whose only ambition is to keep his job and the perks that go with them. That he had to cheat and game the system in 2006 to defeat Ned Lamont in order to keep his seat should give you an idea of what sort of moral midget Joe Lieberman is. And to think I actively supported his being on the Democratic ticket with Al Gore in 2000. Jeebus, how gullible was I??

Now Lieberman is appearing on the campaign trail with John McCain, and he's even planning to appear- and possibly speak- at the Republican National Convention this summer. And yet Lieberman will still refer to himself (with a straight face) as a Democrat. And he's a "Democrat" who would gladly take us to war against Iran. As if two never-ending wars weren't already enough.

I don't know about being a Democrat, but Lieberman certainly- and not inaccurately- be described as a pariah. The man needs to go away....
