RICHMOND, British Columbia -- Another human foot has washed up on British Columbia's south coast, the seventh to be found on the province's beaches since August 2007. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Constable Annie Linteau confirmed that human remains were inside a New Balance running shoe spotted Tuesday afternoon.
Call me silly, but don'tcha think someone missing a foot would be willing to claim it? Seeing as how we each only get two (if we're fortunate), missing one would seem to constitute a major problem. Outside of being fodder for the inevitable "one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest" joke, missing a foot impresses me as the sort of thing that the person missing that foot would be all over once the missing appendage had been located.
Thankfully, I still have both feet...and they're still attached, so I'm good. Somewhere out there, though, some poor soul is missing a foot. Let's hope they're not a soccer player....
