Things I think I might think...if I was actually thinking that I might be thinking

....How is having federal flood insurance consider perfectly acceptable and reasonable, but federal health insurance of any shape, manner, or form is "Socialism"? Having lived for ten years along the Texas Gulf Coast, I can tell you that federal flood insurance is no abstract concept. It's a vital life line for many homeowners. It's also mandatory in some parts of the country. Why is it that any sort of federalized health care coverage is the evil manifestation of Socialism? Covering property is more important than covering human health and life? What other conclusion is there?

....Does any comprehensive health care plan have to have a death penalty in it in order to have ANY hope of getting Republican votes? (I'd like to take credit for that, but I borrowed it from Lawrence O'Donnell. Mea culpa....)

....Isn't advocating the assassination of a President a crime? Shouldn't advocating a coup also be a crime. Et tu, Newsmax??

....Memo to Jon Gosselin: PLEASE go away...and take Kate and the kids with you. We. Don't. Care.

....Maybe it's just time we let California go bankrupt and sell it at auction? I wonder how much it would go for on eBay?

....So Meghan McCain posts a picture of herself in a black tank top and showing...OMIGAWD!!!!...cleavage. And there are people out there scandalized by this? Jeebus, people; get over yourselves already.

....I have nothing but admiration for Arianna Huffington, but even I have to think that asking Joe Biden to resign is ridiculous. How 'bout focusing your considerable energy on those Right-wing ideologues bent on ruining this country?

....You have to know that Republicans have gone completely off the reservation when they can vote against an anti-rape amendment. WTF??
