Seriously, Jack? Neither Ron Paul nor Rick Perry have ever said that secession was a good idea. Oh gee, I wonder how TX could pay for roads, schools, or fire departments on its own…. those are already funded locally Andy Cobb you obnoxious jackass! Nothing in that clip has any basis in reality(other than Dr. Phil being a douche). The humor contained within is on par with Fox News’ answer to the Daily Show. It’s. Just. Fucking. Stupid. If you think that it is funny you should be embarrassed.
Keep in mind that the Bushes are old-money blue bloods from NEW ENGLAND, NOT TEXAS. They moved here to make money in oil and would not have ever been here if Texas weren’t part of the union. They have nothing in common with the average Texan, unless the average Texan goes to a $40,000 a year boarding school and then to Yale.
Texas has plenty going for it. It is not what you make it out to be. Your incessant Texas bashing is akin to a boy making fun of a girl he likes at school, childish and silly. If you really hate Texas so much attack it with the truth and not this stupid, dumb ass shit.
Cameron…of course I don’t believe this or even take it seriously. This is why it’s called “satire”. It’s over the top, blown out of proportion…and just plain silly. That’s the beauty of it. It made me laugh, so I decided to share it. Period. End of story.
I lived in Texas for 10+ years (3722 days, to be precise…not that I was counting), and while I’m not a big fan of the state, I do know that it has a lot to offer.
No offense intended, and I apologize if any was taken. Sometimes I find childish and silly to be rather amusing; so it was in this case.
I was a big time RP supporter and I still thought the video was funny. But then, last night I had this strangely sensual dream about Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann getting the republican nomination in 2012. It thought that was funny too, even though I had to change the sheets when I woke up.
Ok…. maybe its funny. By the way Jack, how do you think I feel? I’m at 10,537 days and have at least another 800 left here. I’m going to Hell… the rest of you can go to Texas!
Its important to acknowledge that there truly are worse places. Houston has a great deal of culture to offer. Seriously. Museums, restaurants, concerts, opera, and theater exceeded by very few cities. Think Texas is bad? Have you ever been to Mississippi?
Now that was just… just…sniff… beautiful!

Yup. Lighten up Francis.

Gen. Phil Sheridan once said that if he had to choose between Hell and Texas, “I’d live in Hell and rent Texas.” Truer words have seldom been spoken.
