This is what a civilized nation committing murder looks like

War is Hell, eh? This is what we agreed to when George W. Bush lied and propagandized his way into a war he so desperately wanted. Whatever claim we may have had to the moral high ground prior to March, 2003 evaporated the night the war in Iraq began. Killing women, children, and civilians has turned us- all of us- into common, garden-variety murderers. No, we didn’t pull the trigger, but we mutely acquiesced to sending our children into the midst of an immoral, illegal war where they’ve been repeatedly asked to commit acts of murder outside of the normal scope of war. This is what happens when you put people in a position where a basic coping mechanism becomes the denial of the basic humanity of those different from you and yours.

So, how that whole “world’s only remaining superpower” thing working out?? And how is it that Scott Roeder is behind bars for murdering one man…but George W. Bush isn’t, despite being responsible for the murder of thousands?
