Sharron Angle: the woman in the bubble

Rachel Maddow does a bang-up job of explaining why Conservatives refusing to leave their friendly Conservative media bubble is ultimately deleterious to their continued political health. If you never have to answer a tough question, if your views are never challenged, if you’re never forced to defend your positions, you become soft, lazy, dogmatic, and disturbingly illogical. With that reality in mind, behold Sharron Angle. Truly, the woman makes Caribou Barbie look like a freakin’ Rhodes Scholar…and it’s her own damn fault for being so lazy, dogmatic, and insular.

Angle comes off as ignorant, arrogant, self-righteous, and intolerant…because she is. A halfway skillful and adept politician would be able to at least partially camouflage her lack of compassion and uber-Jesus-y zealotry. Thankfully, Angle is neither skillful nor adept. What she lacks in skill and political agility she more than makes up for with a high degree of political tone-deafness and insensitivity. Nice. That’s some prescient leadership, eh??
