There are lies, there are damn lies…and then there’s whatever happened to be spewing from Jim DeMint’s pie hole at any given moment. It’s the old, “You know he’s lying, because his lips are moving” phenomenon…and DeMint’s lip move A LOT.
Barack Obama has been in office for not yet 19 months. George W. Bush’s Reign of Error © lasted eight years. During that time, he destroyed the economy, and his tax cuts turned a budget surplus into the largest deficit in American history. Obama came into office in the midst of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression…and DeMint is peddling the stale propaganda that this is now Obama’s recession. Sorry, y’all, but just because an elephant departs the scene doesn’t mean the elephant shit magically disappears. Someone’s got to clean up the mess…and in this case, it’s a messy, lengthy, and exceedingly unpleasant proposition.
DeMint is one of the leading Republican proponents of revisionist history. It doesn’t matter what the historical reality IS. What matters is what you can get the American Sheeple to BELIEVE…and so DeMint is busily channeling Josef Goebbels and plugging the Big Lie at every available opportunity. The sad thing is that far too many Americans will buy into the lies and propaganda. The Worst President EVER © is out of sight and therefore out of mind…and Republicans know that anger, emotion, and propaganda work.
Let’s call this what it is: propaganda and noise pollution. This is Barack Obama’s recession in the same way that every week is Shark Week. DeMint knows full well that truth is for losers and Liberals…and all he has to do is stay on message. Before long the American Sheeple will begin to blame Barack Obama for our economic woes. Once that mission is accomplished, it will be onto what Republicans will need to do in order to save America: TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY!!!
