The GOP plans to hold high profile hearings examining the alleged ‘scientific fraud’ behind global warming, a sleeper issue in this election that motivated the base quite a bit.
It’s nice to know that our new corporate overlords the soon-to-be new Republican majority in the House of Representatives is going to focus like a laser on the truly pressing issues this country faces. Or not.
In a time of major continued economic upheaval and stress, with two wars still consuming significant amounts of American blood and treasure, and with our infrastructure continuing to crumble…. Really? Republicans are going to focus on advancing their agenda of aggressively denying global climate change? And they may also begin investigating President Obama with an eye toward possible impeachment?
Don’t tell me that you’re naive enough to actually think that next two years actually hold the potential for any meaningful progress on…well, anything?? If you think Congress is an inept collection of oversized egos and pandering political hacks now…well, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
Nice going, America; you’re going to get EXACTLY the quality of leadership you deserve…which is to say none at all. You had your chance, you blew it, and now you have only yourself to blame…not that any of y’all are going to to be anything resembling willing to accept responsibility, of course.
