Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of RomneyCare, which provided for universal health care in Massachusetts (and is evidently the most thoroughly evil, anti-American thing since Dirk Nowitzki).
You’d think that something so thoroughly progressive as universal health care would be cause for celebration, right? It certainly was six years ago:
On 4.12.06, Gov. Mitt Romney was justifiably proud of his accomplishment in bringing universal health care to the people of Massachusetts…complete with an insurance mandate. It was the right thing to do and the right time do it. Funny how times change, eh??
Six years later, and what Gov. Romney was once so justifiably proud of is something he has no desire to be associated with. In fact “RomneyCare” is now Republican-speak for “Socialist Big Government overreach.” What was once celebrated, even on Fox News Channel, is now toxic and contaminated with the taint and stench of Liberalism.
RomneyCare was, and remains, a significant accomplishment…and it served as the model for what’s come to be known as ObamaCare. Why not embrace it? Why not be proud of it? Why not…oh, never mind….
Hypocrisy…it ain’t what it used to be, eh??
…
I’m not at all certain how I managed to miss this one, but yesterday was National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day. And now I’m jonesing for a grilled cheese sandwich. Go figure….
