Romney/Ryan 2012: When the truth isn't on your side, lying and dishonesty is your best option

The Only Big Idea Coming Out of the Romney-Ryan Camp Is the Big Lie: ALL political campaigns and candidates stretch the truth. In the effort to cast a candidate in the best possible light, sometimes campaigns and candidates go a bit little on the facts and somewhat heavy on the imagineering. Barack Obama’s campaign stretches the truth as well as anyone. That said, there’s a HUGE difference between stretching the truth and completely dessicating it as the Romney-Ryan campaign is doing.

It’s not even the Romney-Ryan is being deliberately dishonest, which they clearly and unmistakably are. No, it’s that such dishonesty- to and beyond the point of mendacity- is viewed as a legitimate campaign tactic, equivalent to TV or radio ads or mass mailings. It’s no longer about what’s true and verifiable; it’s about what the American Sheeple can be force-fed often enough so that they eventually accept it as truth.

Newspaper Cited In New Romney Attack Ad On Welfare: Charges ‘Debunked By Multiple Independent Fact-Checkers’: You know you’re up against some professional, world-class prevaricators when something like this doesn’t even knock them off-stride. That would imply that the Romney/Ryan campaign is collectively possessed of integrity and a conscience…and that train long ago left the station.

Mitt’s Medicare Strategy: Don’t Tell Seniors Truth: If no one knows the truth, they’re going to be far less likely to ask uncomfortable and incovenient questions.

Romney’s False Welfare Attacks Ignore His Own Plans To Gut Programs For The Poor: “False” is neither pejorative nor roadblock, not when you’re goal is to keep everyone- including voters- off-balance enough so that they can demand accountability.

Top Romney Adviser Falsely Claims Sanctions Aren’t Slowing Iran’s Nuclear Progress: Because in RomneyWorld, the truth is whatever you can convince the American Sheeple to believe.

‘It’s just completely false and I’m pretty stunned’: Sometimes the lying and the mendacity is simply breathtaking in its audacity.

How Romney’s Attempt To Prove He Wouldn’t Raise Middle Class Taxes Fell Flat: Not even an experienced, inveterate collection of liars like Mitt Romney and his campaign staff could pull this one off.

Why Believe Romney Now, After His Lies on Medicare, Bain & Taxes?: Because millions of Americans are stupid and non-demanding enough to swallow whatever Fox Noise Channel (and their candidate, Mitt Romney) tell them. Why think when the vacuous stable of talking heads at FNC will happily tell you what to think and how to vote?

When truth becomes lies and lies become truth…in the final analysis, it’s clear that the ONLY thing Romney truly believes in is his own ambition.

Mitt Romney is a blatant liar and he is running for president of the United States: Let that sink in for a moment: a confirmed, shameless liar wants to be the most powerful man in the world. A man committed only to his own ambition is willing to say anything, no matter how inaccurate, wrong, and/or dishonest it may be, in order to win in November…and millions of Americans will look past his dishonesty and mendacity and cast their vote for him. It’s truly unbelievable how stupid and undemanding the American Sheeple are when it comes to Republicans.

President Obama’s campaign calls Mitt Romney a liar after report on extended Bain tenure, but Romney says story is inaccurate: Why would anyone believe anything Romney has to say? More to the point, why woud anyone vote for a man so thoroughly, disturbingly dishonest?

Because that’s what Fox Noise Channel tells them to

Mendacious Mitt: Romney’s bid to become liar-in-chief: Spin is common in any campaign. The Romney/Ryan campaign is cynically redefining truth in purely partisan terms- the truth is whatever helps their candidate win. Period.

ROMNEY THE LIAR TRYING TO HAVE IT BOTH WAYS ON RAPE UPROAR: The reality is that Todd Akin reflects the professed views of both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan (not to mention the GOP platform). There’s no daylight between any of them. Akin’s mistake was in actually voicing those views. And both Romney and Ryan are furiously prevaricating and dissembling in an effort to deflect attention from the truth.
