Without patriots like Debbie Riddle, we might be...a caring and compassionate people?

Riddle appeared on “Anderson Cooper 360” to discuss the threat of “terror babies” — a supposed threat in which terrorist organizations send pregnant women to the United States to have their children, who would be US citizens but trained and raised abroad to be terrorists and could enter and leave the US without raising suspicion. Riddle based her claims on her conversations with “former FBI officials” but Cooper demanded evidence…. “When your folks called me in the preliminary, that was part of the conversation,” Riddle responded. “They did not tell me that you were going to grill me for this specific information that I was not ready to give to you tonight. They did not tell me that, sir. “

If you live outside the Houston area, you’ve probably never heard of Debbie Riddle, which is a good thing. A Republican representing the NW Houston are, Riddle is in the mainstream of the Texas GOP- which is to say she’s intolerant, insensitive, arrogant, and devoid of compassion…all while claiming to be a Christian.

Perhaps best know for being dismantled by Anderson Cooper when she tried to discuss the “threat” posed by “terror babies,” Riddle isn’t exactly renowned for her season of reason or her intellectual agility. Riddle’s most notable legislative accomplish has been getting the words, “one state under God” put into the Texas Pledge of Allegiance…and I’ll bet y’all didn’t know Texas even had a Pledge of Allegiance, eh?

This beauty from her Facebook page, which came my way courtesy of Harold Cook at Letters from Texas, is indicative of the intolerance and arrogance that’s come to characterize the “Kill ‘em and grill ‘em” wing of the Republican Party. Judging by the comments on this post, Riddle’s hardly alone in her crude empty-headedness and bigotry. Hey, if you wanted to be treated like an equal worthy of enjoying basic human rights, you’d have been born White, Conservative, Christian…and you’d live in Texas. right?

Yay, AmeriKKKa!!!
