TROUTDALE, Ore. - A man cleaning his gun in his apartment nearly shot a woman in the head when the gun went off and the bullet went through two other apartments Wednesday morning, according to police.
Troutdale officers went to the Glacier View Apartments just after 11 a.m. after they received a report of a woman who’d been shot in the head. Police said the woman was hit in the head by drywall debris, not the bullet. She didn’t need to be taken to a hospital.
Lawrence Wach, 29, was cleaning his gun when it fired, police said. The bullet also traveled through another apartment where no one was home.
Police charged Wach with reckless endangerment.
