Some people will do anything for a bigger rack

The silicone scammer pulled off the $7,500 heist at Body Cosmetica on East 85th Street on April 12, 2012 — but cops just received the report.

The young woman, believed to be 19, filled out paperwork for the surgery using the fake ID and then went under the knife. After the operation, the crook paid for the procedure with a bogus credit card.

She then waltzed out of the center with her new plus-sized chest and hasn’t been seen since, sources said.

“I guess some people will do anything for bigger breasts. This lady really takes the cake,” laughed one police source.

Another police source joked, “The cops are working vigorously to get this huge bust.”

It took over a year and a half for Body Cosmetica to report the fraud because the credit card company had to untangle the web of deceit spun by the top heavy larcenist, sources said.

Kendra Klock, senior patient coordinator, finally filed a police report on Oct. 29, launching an investigation.

When reached by phone, Klock declined to comment, saying, “The doctor didn’t want the media attention.”

But a Cosmetica representative walked The Post through the steps the perp would have followed to obtain her new rack.

The rep said the procedure can be done in two to three hours.

First, the patient undergoes a pre-op consultation and fills out paperwork that ultimately determines how much her breasts will be surgically enhanced.

Then the plastic surgeon, Dr. Joshua B. Hyman, who runs the popular clinic, performs the operation.

Afterward, the patient goes through a two-day recovery period.

Anyone under the age of 22 is not permitted to receive silicone under federal law and must settle for saline implants.

The crafty crook wasn’t required to go back to the clinic for a post op consultation because it’s optional.

She’s described as 5-foot-2, 105 pounds with brown eyes and long black hair.

Body Cosmetica has doctors spread across six states, as far away as Colorado.

Dr. Hyman bragged about his surgery skills in a press release earlier this month, calling himself “one of the top plastic surgeons in New York City” as he announced he would begin using a new type of “Gummy Bear” breast implants.

“The large majority of my breast augmentation patients are looking for a natural look with low complication rate,” Hyman said.
