Truth in advertising: The Right-wing grifter edition

I found this on The Blaze (Glenn Beck’s attempt to out-Fox Fox News Channel) yesterday:

The history book your kids will want to read! History is about so much more than memorizing facts. It is about the story. Glenn Beck’s latest book, Miracles and Massacres, is history as you’ve never heard it told. It’s incredible events that you never knew existed. And it’s stories so important and relevant to today that you won’t have to ask: Why didn’t they teach me this? Order your copy today!

Being the sort to always try to keep things honest, I thought it might be good to introduce a bit more veracity into that shameless plug:

The history book your kids will want to read! (Because kids LOVE fairy tales and fantasy, amiright?) History is about so much more than memorizing facts (It’s also about Conservative propaganda and talking points!). It is about the story (As long as it’s a story that makes good, God-fearing White Conservative patriots look good.). Glenn Beck’s latest book, Miracles and Massacres, is history as you’ve never heard it told (Because his “history” is completely fabricated. It never happened!). It’s incredible events that you never knew existed (Because they DON’T!). And it’s stories so important and relevant to today that you won’t have to ask: Why didn’t they teach me this? (Hmm…maybe because it’s difficult to teach the fever dreams of someone who sees himself as a prophet?) Order your copy today! (And you too can help line the pockets of a cynical self-promoting grifter willing to take the American Sheeple for everything they have.)

Yeah, that sounds about right, eh?
