A man walks up to a Marine guarding the front gate of the White House in 2010. “I’d like to go in and speak with President Bush please”. The Marine responds, “Sir, Mr. Bush does not reside here anymore as he is no longer President”. The man walks away.
The next day, the man approaches the Marine “I’d like to go in and speak with President Bush please”. The Marine addresses the man, “sir, I told you yesterday that Mr. Bush does not reside here anymore as he is no longer President”. The man walks away.
For a third day in a row the man approaches the Marine, “I’d like to go in and speak with President Bush please”. The Marine gets agitated and addresses the man “sir, for the third time Mr. Bush does not reside here anymore as he is no longer President. Am I clear? Do you not understand what I’m saying?”
Gleefully the man smiles at the Marine, “oh I understand perfectly clear, it just makes me so happy to hear it said out loud”. The Marine steps back and salutes the man, “I’ll see you tomorrow sir.”
