It’s Sunday morning, which means another collection of “highlights” from the wonderful world of Right-wing Christianity. You may think God is Love- and for most (S)He probably is, for these folks, God is an angry, vindictive, mean-spirited son of a bitch who just as soon smite you as bless you.
I wonder sometimes…going through life bearing so much hatred and ill will towards those you believe to be “less than” can’t be fun, so how do they do it? Or is it just that they’ve been so thoroughly burdened by hatred and anger that they’ve never knownn anything else…and so what they carry with them feels like love? It’s the old “When you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail” theory; their self-righteous and hyper-religiosity feels like love because they don’t know anything else.
You just can’t make this stuff up, kids….
