Jesus is a Republican...and He tells me to hate you

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Tennessee state Rep. Sheila Butt

Tennessee state Rep. Sheila Butt[’s]…new campaign logo looks like a vertically erect cock in the process of opening fire, and she is promoting it with the hashtag #StandWithSheila. IN YOUR PANTS! Butt is one of those state-level idiots currently pushing legislation to “protect pastors” from being FORCED to do gay marriages to the homosexuals, even though the Supreme Court’s ruling explicitly protects the right of conscience of any clergy member to refuse to perform a wedding for any reason…. She’s the lady rep who got in all kinds of trouble for Just Suggesting that maybe if we have an NAACP, then maybe, for even-Steven purposes, we should have an NAAWP. Then she said that everybody else is A Idiot for thinking the “W” in that acronym would stand for “white,” but she refused to say what it really stood for, but amended her statement to reflect on the fact that there are no organized groups in America which will stand up for white people, or for Christians.

“CLUELESS!! AND BUILT TO STAY THAT WAY!!!” If Rep. Butt (and every time I type that I have to repress a chuckle) possessed even a shred of honesty and self-awareness, that would have to be her campaign slogan. A card carrying member of the Republican “I LOVES me some Jesus, and He tells me to hate you” caucus, Rep. Butt (PLEASE tell me her fourth husband isn’t named Seymour) clearly seems to believe that God intended Conservative White Christians to exercise dominion of over the corporeal realm. In times past, I would have devoted a good deal of time, energy, brain cells, and column inches to ridiculing her…but why should I do that when she’s done the heavy lifting for me?

Rep. Butt’s campaign logo is an epic tour de force of tone-deafness and lack of self-awareness. The combination of her name and the phallic imagery is sufficient to bring out the inner 7th-grader in observers (like myself) of questionable maturity. Here’s a handy criteria for the next time she tries to cobble together a campaign logo: anything that could be described using the terms “money shot” or “butt plug” should be off the table. Just sayin’….

Rep. Butt says there shouldn’t be exceptions in anti-abortion laws for rape or incest…because we all know that women are notorious liars and harlots who will do anything to escape responsibility for their actions, knowhutimean?

Rep. Butt (Yeah, I know I’m being repetitive; I just like typing “Rep. Butt.” You see; I did it again!) is also tremendously concerned that the Gay Mafia might force Christian clergy to gay-marry people, even if they personally oppose marriage equality, so she’s introduced a “pastor protection” bill to keep those nasty Sodomites from forcing their evil Homosexual Agenda down the throats of good Christians.

(Attention gentle readers: The previous analogy was totally appropriate and in extremely poor taste. You’re welcome.)

She also managed to get into trouble for innocently suggesting that perhaps there shouldn’t be an NAACP…but if there is, then maybe for fairness’ sake there should be an NAAWP. Don’t be so cynical as to think that the “W” stands for “White,” though she can’t tell you what it would actually stand for. Widgets? Whippets? Wizards? Who knows? Clearly, Rep. Butt doesn’t.

I should thank Rep. Butt for making my job SO much easier…and I probably would if she wasn’t such a thoroughly pathetic and objectionable excuse for a human being. My hope is that karma will eventually catch up with her and introduce her to Schadenfreude. I’m guessing HBO could make a killing by putting it on pay-per-view.
