U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin of the 2nd Congressional District said Wednesday that he is preparing to submit proposed legislation that would bar anyone convicted of association with a terrorist attack from ever receiving food stamp benefits. The bill, which Poliquin says he will file with U.S. House of Representatives staff on Monday, is called the No Welfare for Terrorists Act. It would close what Poliquin said is a loophole in qualification criteria for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, more commonly known as food stamps. That benefit is already banned for people convicted of violent crimes such as murder and rape. But according to Poliquin, the ban does not extend to people who are convicted of aiding terrorists.
In today’s world, there are many risks good, God-fearing, patriotic Americans face. We know that Muslims- ALL Muslims, no exceptions- want to destroy us because they hate our freedom and the baby Jesus. How, then, are we to protect ourselves from the very clear and present dangers we face daily? How do we ensure our safety while also safeguarding the well-being of our loved ones?
I’m not at all certain I have an answer to that question, but thanks to that brave, selfless patriot, Rep. Poliquin, we can rest assured he’s all about protecting Americans from the threat of radical Islamic terrorism…by denying them free lobster and other comestibles that fuel evildoers who’d destroy America and institute Sharia law.
When it comes to sheer, unmedicated Stoopid in the name of effective Conservative governance, Rep. Poliquin has had to work hard to be noticed. After all, Maine is home to bat$#!%-crazy Republican Gov. Paul LePage, who really should be a walking, talking advertisement for Thorazine. The challenge for Rep. Poliquin has been conjuring up new and ever more interesting ways of being a dick to Mainiacs, who deserve better but for some reason insist on electing ignorant, knuckle-dragging sociopaths to represent them.
You may remember Gov. LePage as for his inspired leadership in trying to take away SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) payments from those wealthy Mainiacs with more than $5000 in assets) In characteristic “small-government Republican” fashion, Gov. LePage has expressed a desire to regulate the kind of bologna the poors are allowed to purchase with public assistance money. He hasn’t (yet) decided that creating separate but decidedly unequal grocery stores for the poors would be a TOTALLY bitchin’ idea, but Gov. Lepage knows from Tough Love © when it comes to protecting the sanctity of tax dollars.
Like any Republican worthy of the appellation, Gov. LePage and Rep. Poliquin have an innate understanding of the threat posed to the safety of the Homeland by the poor and indigent. They know that only by finding new, different, and ever more creative and heartless ways to embarrass and humiliate the poors can America ever hope to have any prospect of being safe from terrorism.
And no, you CAN’T have a higher minimum wage…which is clearly an insidious Liberal plot put forward by socialists who hate America and the baby Jesus. Gov. LePage has principles to stand on…and who will he demonize in order that Mainiacs will know how serious he is if people are allowed to make a living wage?
Rep. Poliquin, while something of a latecomer to the party, has demonstrated his own unique commitment to the cause of humiliating poor Mainiacs off the dole.
Poliquin said by phone Wednesday that he is unaware of anyone convicted of involvement in a terrorist action receiving food stamps in the past, but he is more concerned with the future….
“It absolutely makes no sense whatsoever to have folks who are trying to kill us, and have been successful to some degree, to provide welfare for them. It’s just crazy.” […]
“There should be no welfare for terrorists, period.”
No self-respecting God-fearing ‘Merican patriot is going to argue that terrorists should be eligible for public assistance of any sort…right? Until Rep. Poliquin came along, I had NO idea that terrorists only loved us for our willingness to fund their slothful, America-hating desires for never-ending jihad and violent destruction of Western decadence. And subsidized Cheetos.
Then again, I wasn’t aware welfare for terrorists was even a thing until Rep. Poliquin came along and removed the veil of ignorance from my eyes. Now that I recognize the truth, I understand that the ONLY thing we can do to keep terrorists off the dole is to purge ALL humans of any persuasion from eligibility for public assistance of any sort.

Only when Americans are expected to fend for themselves will we truly be able to say that America is free from the threat of violent, ruthless Republican Islamic terrorism.
I suppose those of us who believe in truth, justice, and the American Way © should be grateful to Rep. Poliquin…and Gov. LePage before him. His prescient, insightful leadership and willingness to do the hard things necessary to protect the Homeland from the clear and present danger posed by the poor, minorities, and the unemployed wild-eyed Islamofascist jihadis are among the things that make the country truly great.
