Brother, can you spare a dime??

Girl graduates from college. Girl gets fabulous job making six figures. Girl lives large, thinks that gravy train will continue running forever. Guess what? Gravy train derails. Girls loses job, but not her credit card debt. What's a creative, talented young woman to do?? Well, how about using the Internet to solicit donations in order to whittle down her debt load??

Karyn Bosnak's tale has attracted a lot of media attention, but it IS an interesting story. Hey, we allow people to stand on street corners with their hands out, right? The only difference in this case is the venue. If it works, good on her. This is America, where ideas rule. If it doesn't work, well, try something else.

At least it sounds as if Karen has learned some lessons along the way. If you don't like what she is doing, there is a very simple solution for you- don't donate. It's voluntary, so if you don't want to give, well then kwityerbitchin. I'm not going to give, but I DO applaud her initiative.

God, I just LOVE the Internet....
