Hey, it worked for "Hooters"....

'Girls Gone Wild' Tuning in with CD Deal

Only in America could such blatant trivialization and objectification of women be turned into an enterprise with such enormous profit potential. Don'tcha just LOVE capitalism??

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Cheesy music is an inevitable by-product of porn movies, but the naked college nymphs of the "Girls Gone Wild" videos will soon be associated with mainstream pop hits....

The CDs will be available at retail, and will also be sold through such Mantra marketing campaigns as its campus tours and late-night infomercials.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Mantra, founded and owned by 30-year-old entrepreneur Joe Francis, sold 4.5 million "Girls Gone Wild" videos in 2002. In such settings as toilet stalls and street corners, drunken girls risk giving their fathers heart attacks by flashing and making out with each other in return for coveted t-shirts or beads.

As well as the music deal with Jive, Mantra is also working on a "Girls Gone Wild" feature project at MGM, and also plans to unveil a restaurant chain and apparel line in 2004.

Whoever said that women should be treated as equals obviously had no idea of the profit potential to be found into turning women into cheap, trashy sex objects. All that for beads and t-shirts...and no kneepads? Aim high, ladies....
