An eye for an eye only leaves the whole world blind

Airstrike kills Hamas chief

When I first saw this story earlier this morning, the first thing that came to mind was "sow the wind, reap the whirlwind". While I can understand the Israelis desire to exact a price from those who would indiscriminately kill Israeli citizens, I shudder to think of what the future holds for Israel. I'd worry about Palestinians as well, but I'm going to wait until they stop indiscriminately killing innocents.

I am very strongly pro-Israel, but even I have to wonder how the search for peace is served by taking out a Hamas leader. It's not as if there aren't many Palestinians who won't be willing to take his place. In the end, will anything really change? No, more innocent civilians will die on both sides, and neither side will approach negotations seriously.

How many more people will have to do die horribly before things change? As it looks now, the answer appears to be many.

It's hard to believe that George W. Bush has the balls to run on his "record" was the previous entry in this blog.

No, you probably won't notice me, but that's the way I like it is the next entry in this blog.
