Yes, 'tis far better to be thought a DUMB@$$, than to be Terrell Owens and actually BE a DUMB@$$ and remove all doubt. What is it about Owens that makes him the verbal equivalent of tossing a burning match into a gasoline tank?
In an interview with Playboy magazine that hits newsstands Friday, Owens was asked if he thinks Garcia is gay. Owens responded: "Like my boy tells me: If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, by golly, it is a rat."....
Owens backed off his comment to Playboy after the Eagles' practice Tuesday, saying, "I didn't say that he was gay. Like I said, the conversation and interview was loose and from my knowledge I'm not sure if Jeff is gay or not."
Garcia and Owens had a contentious relationship in San Francisco with the outspoken wide receiver often complaining that Garcia didn't throw him the ball enough.
The 49ers released Garcia and traded Owens to Philadelphia in the offseason.
Rich, spoiled, and used to hogging the spotlight...sounds like a recipe for a DUMB@$$, eh? (The camera loves Leon....) Terrell Owens, a media whore if ever there was one, needs to learn to pass up a microphone every now and then. Of course, there are a bunch of ex-teammates out there he has yet to offend, and the regular season hasn't even begun yet.
Keep this up, Terrell, and you could well become a multiple DUMB@$$ AWARD winner. You're certainly in midseason form.
