NY Post accuses Ann Coulter of plagiarism

Conservative scribe Ann Coulter cribbed liberally in her latest book, “Godless,” according to a plagiarism expert. John Barrie, the creator of a leading plagiarism-recognition system, claimed he found at least three instances of what he calls “textbook plagiarism” in the leggy blond pundit’s “Godless: the Church of Liberalism” after he ran the book’s text through the company’s digital iThenticate program. He also says he discovered verbatim lifts in Coulter’s weekly column, which is syndicated to more than 100 newspapers….
Wow, can anyone really say that their suprised at the allegation that Ann Coulter plagiarized portions of “Godless”, her latest tour de farce in which she (surprise!) pillories Liberals for everything short of drinking the blood of Jewish children? Now Fraulein Gasraum is forced to have to defend herself against charges of intellectual laziness and just plain sloppiness. Ironic, isn’t it, that a the doyenne of the frothing-at-the-mouth Red Meat Conservative movement, who has always fancied herself so much smarter than the rest of us mere mortals, is herself accused of being a fraud.
Hey, it beats having to think for yourself…and besides, she’ll find a way to blame it on Liberals. You don’t really think that Fraulein Gasraum will accept personal responsibility for her moral shortcomings, do you???
Barrie, CEO of iParadigms, told The Post that one 25-word passage from the “Godless” chapter titled “The Holiest Sacrament: Abortion” appears to have been lifted nearly word for word from Planned Parenthood literature published at least 18 months before Coulter’s 281-page book was released.
To make things even worse, Barrie accuses Fraulein Gasraum of sloppy citations, rendering the book vrtually useless in any academic sense- as if there is any academic value to begin with. Wow…could it be that Fraulein Gasraum rushed her latest “classic” into print so she could a) make a pile of money off the drooling sycophants that pass for her fan base, and b) get a ton of attention and column inches devoted to her? Whodathunkit??
Meanwhile, many of the 344 citations Coulter includes in “Godless” “are very misleading,” said Barrie, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, where he specialized in pattern recognition.
“They’re used purely to try and give the book a higher level of credibility - as if it’s an academic work. But her sloppiness in failing to properly attribute many other passages strips it of nearly all its academic merits,”
Like any reasonable person would use the words “academic” and “Ann Coulter” in the same sentence….
Here’s to hoping that Fraulein Gasraum is exposed for the lying, self-righteous, self-superior intellectual thug she is. I’m not usually much for schadenfreude, but in this instance I’m beyond willing to make an exception. There’s nothing I would enjoy more than see her twist in the wind as she gets pilloried for plagiarizing the work of others.
