Focus on the Family lays off 30, moves 15 more to new jobs
Focus on the Family announced Monday that it is laying off 30 employees and reassigning 15 others. It also announced that founder James Dobson had been cleared of accusations that he jeopardized the group’s nonprofit status by endorsing Republican candidates. Most of the layoffs are in the organization’s Constituent Response Services department that answers mail and telephone requests. A drop in projected revenue played a part in the layoffs, and the growth of e-mail and Internet-based communications is behind the reassignments, said Gary Schneeberger, vice president of communications.
I realize that being a hateful, dogmatic, holier-than-thou Christian is hard work, but I apparently had NO idea just how difficult and expensive it is to ramp up and promulgate that kind of self-righteous hatred on a day-to-day basis. Who knew?
Perhaps this is just karma coming back around on former (and perennial) DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener James Dobson, whom I’ve always found to be an easy (some might say TOO easy) target. While I’ve nothing against Christianity, the flavor that Dobson prefers has little to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. No, likely due to some profound personality defect and/or deep-sense sense of insecurity, Dobson (and his hate-fueled, self-suprerior horders) have a profound need to hate and despise those who happen not to share their beliefs.
The reality is that if the Taliban carried American passports, they’d no doubt be contributing members of Focus on the Family, which is to Christianity what radical Islamofascism is to Islam. Now Dobson’s collection of hateful inbreds are having money troubles…and we’re supposed to be all weepy over it? Please…. All I want for Christmas is for those (&^%$#@ hypocrites to rot in the Hell the so richly deserve.
Tune in tomorrow, and I’ll tell you how I REALLY feel….
