Perhaps imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery..or is it??

Now here's something I'm not quite sure what to do with.... Once upon a time, when I still lived on the Texas Gulf Coast, I ran a quaint, largely-ignored little blog called The People's Republic of Seabrook. After a few years of that, I move to Portland, and it was time for a change. So, my evil minions and I came up with WWJD and TPRS was consigned to the scrap heap of blogging history. I let the domain registration lapse...and pretty much forgot about TPRS. After all, who's going to want a domain name like whatwouldjackdo.net? Well, as it turns out, TPRS may be gone, but it seems to have been appropriated by someone who...well, I'm not quite sure exactly what they're up to. If you go to whatwouldjackdo.net, this is what you see.

I'm not sure whether I should be pissed off or flattered. At least "Troll" has been kind enough to credit me for the pieces I actually did write. The site hasn't been updated since January, and it doesn't look as if "Troll" is profiting off my work, so...WTF?? He's even using my old "This Week in Stupid" shtick. And the front page features one of my all time favorite quotes, this one from an old Huffington Post article:

Sunday on Meet The Press, Mike Huckabee addressed what could be one of the greater scandals of his presidential bid thus far: back in January on Morning Joe, Huck confessed to frying squirrel in a popcorn popper and eating it as a snack while in college. Call us conventional, or maybe just Yankee, but we were intrigued and slightly repulsed. Just how far can this squirrel snack go? Despite Huckabee's claim that squirrel "tastes like... squirrel," it seems that there are a lot of ways to spice it up.

Yum...ah, but I digress. "Troll" has copied my archives and made them available on his site. OK, so I did let the domain registration lapse, and I am being credited for what I've written. Still, I still can't quite figure out if I should be upset...or flattered. WTF??
