A fitting- if somewhat smelly- tribute

SAN FRANCISCO - A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot. The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq. Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

Say what you will, but you certainly can't accuse the fine folks in the Bay Area of lacking a sense of humor...and a finely honed feel for both subtlety and irony. I mean, what better way to celbrate Our Glorious and Benevolent's © surpassingly excellent Reign of Error © ...than naming a sewage treatment plant after him??

Somehow, I can see a lot more tourists visiting the proposed George W. Bush Sewage Plant over the George Bush Library and Mental Masturbatorium at Southern Methodist University. No doubt some folks will head to SMU in order to worship their ideological hero...like lies, incompetence, and war crimes are the stuff of legend. This only proves how truly ignorant some of the American Sheeple are and how miserably low standards can sometimes be in this country.

Man, If The Worst President EVER © can be regarded as a man of vision and conviction, I may as well just pick up my Nobel Prize now, no? Maybe I'll use the honorarium to build a library dedicated to the manner in which I'll probably be remembered. Hmm...how do public toilets in Times Square sound??
